As part of our Ancient Egypt project work, Class 3 today investigated the heart. The Ancient Egyptians didn’t believe the heart was important enough to keep and store in a canopic jar. We needed to discover whether they had got that right.
The children had chance to investigate the heart fully, and kitted out in full science gear, they dissected and probed.
Lots of discussion during the task, questions asked and answered. We found where the ‘heartstrings’ are and a few people even tugged on them!
